I'm going to start this off with, this game has the tendency to get addictive. Tiger Woods 2005 has been upgraded in quite a few ways. It still has the top of the line create your own character system called "EA Sports GameFace", but this years GameFace 2 has a lot of extra features. You can customize tiny details so insignificant you barely notice them unless you look closely, right down to your character's smile lines. This year's gameface also allows you to make younger players, meaning you can have a 10 year old pro golfer. It's really entertaining to see a youngster showing up Tiger Woods. But the detail in this years gameface allows you to (provided you have the time and patience required) make a golfer that looks almost exactly like you.

The Single player career this year has a lot of options for you to branch off to. There are three main modes. The first and main mode is Legend Tour, which has you facing off against some pretty unique golfers in a quest to be the best of the best. There are a variety of Legends to pursue, each individual Legend (ex. Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus), has 6 lesser golfers for you to beat before you can face off against them(ex. A few precarious made up golfers, and other well know pros such as John Daly). When you have worked your way up to, and have defeated, all of the legends, you will face 6 more golfers then get a chance against Tiger. That's the main goal of the Legend Tour, you will end up a Legend yourself.

The other modes are Legend Scenarios, which set you up against legends in some very unique predicaments. And the regular run-of-the-mill PGA Tour, which is for anyone who is more of a traditional golfer.

The Pro Shop has been upgraded as well, there is new equipment, clothing, animations, jewelry, and golf swings. But the most interesting addition is the "Custom Swing". With this feature you can make a Complete customized golf swing, and even make on that represents the one you use in real life. And it's no some rip off, you can really make the swing look as unique as you want.

The attributes upgrade section is somehow better, it takes a little longer, and your player's rising in the ranks feels more gradual and natural, he doesn’t get extensively better in between 2 rounds. This is the addictive part, making
you golfer better know and better at the game of golf, slowly working your way to the top, thinking of the final goal, defeating the ultimate golfer, Tiger Woods, keeps you playing.

The gameplay of Tiger Woods 2005 has been improved, but not extremely. About the usual amount of improvement as any other EA Sports games. There are a couple new
game play features, including moving the ball back or forth in your stance to either give the shot less or more loft. This is very useful for getting over close obstacles.

The graphics are for the most part the same as 2004, but the courses look a little sharper and prettier, and the environments are great, at times you can even hear car alarms going off. The character models are a lot more accurate
than last year, they really do look exactly like the real thing.

There is also another feature added called "Tiger Proofing". This allows you to change a course, add to a course, and make even Tiger intimidated by them. Making a great, difficult course, will earn you challenges from Legends and
Pros.

All in all, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005, is a great game, much better, I give it a 9.4/10, considering other golfing games. And it's a great addition to the EA Sports' ever growing empire
