Ghost Recon, probably the greatest stealth infiltration game of 2002, invigorates you as if you were actually in the battle fields. The controls are “user friendly”, and the AI isn’t clueless. The game runs very smooth and there’s the capability of playing it online.

The game has in total of about 15 missions, which take a good half-hour to an hour each mission. There are three different modes you can play it on. Recruit, being easiest for those who just want to get to learn the game first. Veteran, for those skilled and ready for a challenge. And last Elite, for the highly skilled and trained soldiers. There are 50 objectives that you can play to unlock people, weapon upgrades, and new game types.

The multiplayer features a whole new game play. You can choose from co-op, firefight, defend, recon, and mission. And you also have the ability to LAN against your buddies. There are infinite capabilities, for you can choose your settings such as radars on or off, and other great add-ons. The unlock able levels and game types will keep you playing until you’ve unlocked every single item in the game. You will be up playing this FPS all through the evening with your friends.

This game is compiled with beautiful surroundings. There are very realistic locations that you can take part of. There are beautiful forests with all the trees you can possibly questions for. There are rivers you can forge, there are swamps that you would have to navigate through, and there are cities that you would need to find snipers from the windows, which does happen occasionally. These levels are full of enemies awaiting for your mark.

The AI in this game contains many surprises. The chances of a single enemy out in the open are very unrealistic. Enemies usually navigate in groups of 3 or 4. If you are a sniper, trying to pick out your targets, and you miss, the enemies would go in a ducking position and run into the nearest forest or bushes. If you where to run up point blank and try to kill and enemy, he would point his gun in the sky, shoot, and he would receive a back-up team. More enemies would leave their position and come to their comrade’s aid. Sometimes when there would be a fix gun emplacement, the M60, the enemies will use it to their disposal, in which they can mow your people down to dirt.

The overall game play in this game is great. This game would probably keep you sitting in your chair forever. If you are looking for a stealth tactics game, you should probably choose Ghost Recon, or the other sequels to this game, Island Thunder, Jungle Storm, and soon to be Ghost Recon 2. This is an amazing game for its time, and this has seriously changed the way we think about Tactical first person shooters.
