Dreamfall is the latest in the dying genre of adventure titles. As typical of this genre the story is vast and wonderful. Of all the aspects in Dreamfall this is the best one. Dreamfall tries some new approaches to the adventure genre by incorporating combat. Unfortunately, this is more of a clunky frustrating addition than anything revolutionary. Dreamfall does streamline some of the adventure concepts by giving gamers a scan ability but in the end this makes the game too easy. If you are looking for a great story than pick up Dreamfall. Just be aware that there are some disappointing components.
Sweet to the Core
Story. This is one heck of an adventure.
Locations. Each world visited is detailed and amazing.
Going Bad
Characters. The characters are a little stiff.
Easy. The new scanning ability makes the game too easy.
Rotten to the Core
Combat. Horrible combat...if you want to call it that.
Length. The game is too short for an adventure title.
