According to the official Oblivion Download site, www.OblivionDownloads.com, "The Vile Lair" will be released for the modest sum of $1.89 (roughly 150 Microsoft Points) this Thursday, July 13th. Infamous characters will find a safe haven in the underwater hideout that will be unlocked with this download, in addition to a location to feed or cure your vampiric impulses. Evil minions will be available for hire and there will be a variety of other things to do.
The list of features is as follows:
- A multilevel lair for murderous players to find refuge
- The Font of Renewal, where a player may purge himself of Vampirism
- The Shrine of Sithis where the infamous player may heal and be cured of disease
- A Dark Minion, who the player may employ to find gold in a most unseemly manner
- A 'cattle pen' for vampires to dine
- An indoor garden of venomous plants, including the notorious Chokeberry to feed to your enemy
- Various furnishing upgrades, including a study room and storage area
It seems like Bethesda is finally getting a clearer picture of what a fair price is for their downloadable content. Hopefully we won't be seeing any more horse armor anytime soon.
